Overwhelmed by the College Search Process? Help is Here!

There are thousands of accredited, degree granting undergraduate institutions in the United States. No wonder you may be feeling overwhelmed by all of the choices. So where do you begin?

The first step in researching colleges is to examine your own interests, abilities, values, aspirations and preferences, both social and academic. The more you know about yourself and the more you know about colleges, the better the fit can be. Although there are probably many colleges that you would find acceptable, if you think first about who you are and what you want from college, you will be more likely to choose a school that is right for you. Most importantly, understand that you should not apply to schools simply because your parents or friends attended or because publishers of college directories deem them best.

While the best way to find out if a college fits your goals and personality is to visit the campus,  time and costs may prevent you from visiting every school you are considering. North Shore College Consulting travels extensively to colleges across the country so we can help students make informed decisions.

Read our most recent blog about Tufts University on our website and check back frequently for unbiased opinions on other schools we have visited.

North Shore College Consulting is available to hold your hand and walk you through the entire college application process. Our goal is to make this process as manageable and stress-free as possible. Contact us for a complimentary consultation so we can show you what we do.
