Pair Arrested For Street Racing in Highland Park: Cops

Waukegan man charged with resisting cop at Ravinia Festival.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED

Efrain Reyes-Toledo, 30, Highwood was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended and hand held cell phone usage after being stopped by police in the 2100 block Green Bay Road at 7:21 p.m. on June 22.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

Francis Pirruccello, 43, Deerfield was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after police responded to a customer/management dispute at a business in the 100 block of Skokie Valley Road at 9:31 p.m. on June 23.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED

Luis Velasquez, 26, of the 1000 block of Half Day Road was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended and speeding after being stopped by police in the 1600 block of Deerfield Road at 12:52 a.m. on June 26.

STREET RACING

Angel Zavala, 20, Park City and Shadane Perrin, 23, Zion were arrested and charged with street racing after being stopped by police near Parkside and Skokie Valley Road at 3:42 a.m. on June 27.

DOMESTIC BATTERY

Jesus Uresti-Rodriguez, 43, of the 900 block of Central Avenue was arrested and charged with domestic battery after police responded to a physical dispute in the 1300 block of Park Avenue West at 1:25 a.m. on June 28.

AGGRAVATED DOMESTIC BATTERY

Christopher Szarek, 26, Waukegan was arrested and charged with two counts of domestic battery, aggravated battery to a peace officer and resisting arrest after police responded to a physical dispute in the pedestrian underpass at Ravinia Festival near the 200 block of St. Johns Avenue at 6:48 p.m. on June 28.

BURGLARY FROM MOTOR VEHICLE

Unknown subject(s) stole a wallet from the center console of an unlocked 2014 Jeep while parked in the 1100 block of Crofton Avenue North between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on June 23.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

Officers located four different sets of black spray painted markings on the bike path pavement near Moraine Road and Waukegan Road at 6:24 p.m. on June 23.

THEFT

Unknown subjects stole two 6-foot bronze cranes within the last two weeks from a front yard fountain in the 400 block of Hazel Avenue sometime before 7:19 p.m. on June 24.

ATTEMPTED COMMERCIAL BURGLARY

Unknown subject(s) attempted to remove three pieces of copper wire from a locked yard in the 1900 block of Skokie Valley Road sometime before 11:56 p.m. on June 24.

BURGLARY FROM MOTOR VEHICLE

Unknown subject(s) stole a black purse from an unlocked vehicle while parked in the 1300 block of Sunset Road sometime before 12:57 p.m. The purse contained an I-Phone and other miscellaneous items.
