PAWS Chicago Free for All Adoption Promotion

FREE FOR ALL - On April 16 and 17, PAWS Chicago will waive adoption fees for all adult cats two years of age and older.

Every year, kitten season brings an abundance of kittens into the shelter system who are looking for new homes. Sadly, during this time, adult cats watch as potential adopters pass them over for an adorable kitten. In an effort to find these overlooked cats a home to call their own, PAWS Chicago will be waiving adoption fees for adult cats this weekend!

Sure it’s hard to resist those cute little fluff balls, but which is really best for your family and lifestyle – cat or kitten?

When you adopt an adult cat, you know exactly what you are getting – size, coat, color and personality. Adult cats show you their genuine personalities, making it easier to choose one who fits your lifestyle and family.

Kittens are a bundle of energy and may keep you up with their playful antics and vocalizations. Play time for an adult cats is a bit more sensible – their idea of play time isn’t running all over your head or scaling up your legs when you step out of the shower. An adult can may fit in better in a home with children because they are more tolerant and huggable than a feisty kitten.

Take a moment to consider adding an adult cat into your life. The best reason to open your heart and home to an adult cat is because they need you. And they will spend the rest of their lives showing you just how grateful they are.
