Purse Stolen From Unlocked Car on Clavey Road: Cops

The following information is from the Highland Park Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT
Sanford A. Schmidt, 57, of the 100 block of Laurel Avenue was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after police responded to a complaint in the 1400 block of Skokie Valley Road at 5:31 p.m. on Sept. 16.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS TO PROPERTY
John J. Kodl, 61, Orland Park was arrested and charged with criminal trespass to property after police responded to a complaint in the 700 block of Park Avenue West at 9:55 p.m. on Sept. 16.

CRIMINAL DEFACEMENT
On Sept. 12, it was reported that an unknown subject(s) damaged a utility box with spray paint near the intersection of Sunset Road and Princeton Avenue.

BURGLARY FROM MOTOR VEHICLE
On Sept. 15, it was reported that an unknown subject(s) entered an unlocked vehicle in the 800 block of Clavey Road and stole a purse that was located in the passenger seat.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

On Sept. 17, it was reported that an unknown subject(s) damaged a rear window in the 500 block of Skokie Avenue with a 12 inch 2x4 between 9:10 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.
