Ravinia Brewing Co. Inaugural "Steep Ravine Infusion Fest"

HIGHLAND PARK, IL (OCTOBER 19, 2019) – The inaugural Steep Ravine Infusion Festival will take place along the main drag of the Ravinia District of Highland Park (on Roger Williams Avenue, between Pleasant and Burton Avenues) as Ravinia Brewing Company creates a first-of-its-kind festival focused on tempting and expanding the taste buds of craft beer and spirit lovers across Chicago and the Midwest. On Saturday, October 19th from 12PM-10PM, guests will get to experience the thrill of creating their own beverage infusions, while professional mixologists and brewers compete for prizes and bragging rights in front of a panel of judges.

Paul Bumbaco, Ravinia Brewing Co.’s Taproom General Manager and resident Infusion expert stated, "Infusions are a fun way to bring out the creativity in everyone. We started a program of ‘Infusion Wednesdays’ in the taproom at the beginning of the year, and it has really been a hit, allowing us to create fresh spins on some of our favorite beers that are truly unique." Bumbaco's creations have spanned from Ravinia Brewing's Saison infused with fresh blueberries and vanilla beans; to their Belgian White Ale with fresh raspberries and cocoa nibs; to their Baldwin Porter infused with waffles, coconut bacon, and cinnamon.

The Steep Ravine Infusion Fest concept offers every adult guest the opportunity to create their own infusion by choosing from a variety of ingredients from the do-it-yourself infusion bar, putting their million-dollar mixologist ideas into action. The fun isn’t only for adults; kids and teens will be given the opportunity to infuse juices, frozen drinks and sodas for their own delicious creations. The family-friendly event will have a variety of activities for all ages to accompany the delicious food and beverage offerings from local and regional vendors including Ravinia Brewing Company’s famous tacos and Mexican street food.

Live music begins at 12PM with Imperial Boxmen, followed by Bowmanville at 2:30PM, the DFW Band at 5:00PM, and local favorites the Ravinia Ramblers at 7:30PM.

For this inaugural event, there will be no tickets sold. Guests will have the opportunity to browse and purchase as little or as much as they want to meet the demands of their taste buds. This event coincides with the Ravinia Taproom celebrating its one year anniversary, as well!

Joining Ravinia Brewing Co. at the inaugural Steep Ravine Infusion Fest will be other celebrated Chicago breweries including Marz Community Brewing Company, Old Irving Brewing Company, and other North Shore staples - Temperance Beer Company and 28 Mile Vodka.
