Red Oak Elementary Names Next Principal

HIGHLAND PARK, IL - An experienced educator in Round Lake has been named the new principal at Red Oak Elementary School.

The North Shore School District 112 board of education made the hiring of Shawn Tiani official last week, according to a district news release.

Tiani, who will begin in his new role on July 1, has been employed by Round Lake Area Schools Community Unit District 116 since 2004, when he taught sixth grade and first grade English as a Second Language at Beach Elementary School.

He has since served as an assistant principal at Indian Hill Elementary School and the district's Special Programs Coordinator.

The hiring of Tiani was praised by Dr. Michael Bregy, District 112 superintendent. 

“The solutions he has crafted show affirming results, helping teachers better serve each of their students. Mr. Tiani’s drive and ability to inspire those around him will be great assets at Red Oak School,” Bregy said.
