Retail Theft, DUI, Warrant: Highland Park Blotter

Two suspended drivers were arrested on Skokie Valley Road.

The following information is from the Highland Park Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

IN-STATE WARRANT

Betsy A. Dubrow, 38, of the 2400 block of Green Bay Road, was arrested for an in-state warrant and charged with disobeying a stop sign after police conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of Onwentsia Avenue at 1:29 p.m. on Jan. 21.

DRIVING WITH SUSPENDED DRIVER’S LICENSE

Edward Smolin, 59, Skokie was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license and disobeying a red traffic light after police conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Skokie Valley Road and Park Avenue West at 1:37 a.m. on Jan. 23.

Brittani M. Ecxford, 23, Waukegan was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license and speeding after police conducted a traffic stop in the 3300 block of Skokie Valley Road at 3:49 a.m. on Jan. 23.

RETAIL THEFT

Slobodan Jovanovich, 47, Chicago was arrested and charged with felony retail theft after police responded to a complaint in the 600 block of Central Avenue at 6:26 p.m. on Jan. 23.

DUI

Jennifer L. Prochaska, 30, Waukegan was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage and no valid driver’s license after police conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Skokie Valley Road and Clavey Road at 12:20 a.m. on Jan. 25.

THEFTS

On Jan. 19, it was reported that an unknown subject(s) stole a cell phone from a business in the 1800 block of 1st Street.

On Jan. 22, it was reported that an unknown suspect attempted to steal two video game system controllers from a business in the 2000 block of Skokie Valley Road.
