Highland Park man connected to six Lake County burglaries, including one in downtown HP.

HIGHLAND PARK, IL - The 26-year-old Highland Park man captured during the investigation of several burglaries at hair salons throughout the Chicagoland area now faces even more charges.
Alan Konwinski, of the 1200 block of Arbor Ave., has been implicated in six Lake County burglaries in addition to the five in Northbrook he was charged with last month, according to the Highland Park News.
Konwinski was first arrested on Feb. 18 in Northbrook after police found he was driving on a suspended license. At the station, they charged him with five burglaries that occurred in that village over the past six months. He allegedly admitted to his involvement.

After posting a $5,000 bond two days after his arrest, Konwinski was put on home confinement and arrested in Chicago on March 4, when authorities connected him to the Lake County incidents, which included a Feb. 3 break-in at the Beautiful Salon and Spa on Central Avenue in downtown Highland Park.
In several of the reported incidents - which could be as many as 86 throughout the city of Chicago and its suburbs according to media reports - the break-ins occurred after the salons closed, but before midnight. Entry was usually gained by breaking the glass on the front door.
