Skokie, Gurnee Residents Face Drunk Driving Charges: Blotter

Incidents and arrests from the Highland Park police blotter from Dec. 4 to Dec. 10.

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The following information comes from the Highland Park police department and court records as a record of incidents reported to the police and of those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law beyond a reasonable doubt.

INCIDENTS

CAR BURGLARY
Someone got into an unlocked car parked in the 600 block of Burton Avenue during the overnight hours of Dec. 6 to Dec. 7 and stole vehicle documentation.

ARRESTS

A 45-year-old North Chicago woman was arrested around 11 p.m. on Dec. 4 following a traffic stop at the intersection of Ridge Road and Reserve Court and charged with driving with a suspended or revoked license. She was also issued a citation for speeding between 21 and 25 mph above the limit.

A 66-year-old Glenview man was arrested around 9:45 p.m. on Dec. 8 and charged with displaying a canceled or revoked driver’s license following a traffic stop in the 1700 block of Second Street. He was also issued a citation for running a stop sign.

Aharon Martinez, 19, of the first block of South Maple Avenue, Waukegan, was arrested around 3 a.m. on Dec. 8 and charged with consumption or possession of alcohol by a minor and illegal transportation of an open container of alcohol by a passenger following a traffic stop at the intersection of Central Avenue and Beverly Place.

Delon Carter, 29, of the 36000 block of Traer Terrace, Gurnee, was arrested around 5 a.m. on Dec. 8 and charged with DUI – alcohol and issued citations for improper lane usage, open alcoholic container, and driving with a suspended or revoked driver’s license following a traffic stop in the 1600 block of Old Skokie Road.

Aamir Kabani, 23, of the 4200 block of Howard Street, Skokie, was arrested around 7 a.m. on Dec 9 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol by officers responding to a driving complaint at the intersection of Park Avenue and Skokie Valley Road.
