Beelow's NorthShore Brings a Taste of Farm Life to Downtown Highland Park

Featuring Award Winning Beef from Family's Lake County Farm

Highland Park Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Ginny Glasner with owner Dan Beelow and Highland Park Mayor Nancy Rotering as they brand the “Beelow’s” logo on a plaque to memorialize the official Grand Opening event.

Beelow’s NorthShore’s official Grand Opening celebration brought a bit of “life on the farm” to downtown Highland Park. Highland Park Mayor Nancy Rotering, along with nearly 150 individuals and business owners, participated in the Highland Park Chamber of Commerce’s welcoming ceremony that included both a traditional ribbon-cutting and a ranch-style branding.

Restaurant owner Dan Beelow grew up on his family’s third-generation livestock and grain crops farm in Mundelein. All of the burgers and the featured beef served in the restaurant are locally-raised from his brother Duane’s prized pastured cattle, which means they have room to roam on the family’s 80-acre farm. Additional selected cuts come from the top 12% of all Midwestern beef, handpicked by Sterling Silvers professional graders, including the first-place winning livestock personally purchased by Dan at each year’s Lake County fair.
