Tea Party Fundraiser from Highland Park High School Club
High School Club holds "tea-rific" fundraiser for less fortunate music students.

Highland Park High School’s Sister Symphonies is holding their third annual tea party on Saturday, April 9th to raise money for local school orchestras in need. Highland Park High School students will provide tea, food and live music performances. The tea party will be held in Highland Park High School’s Student Commons from 9am to 12pm, and is open to the public. The $5 entry fee is a minimum donation to support the students of Chopin Elementary School. This Chicago Public School, named after the famous composer, is victim to a $50,000 funding cut of its orchestra program. Invitees are also encouraged to bring for donation gently used instruments to the party, or to the Music Center of Deerfield.
Sister Symphonies is a club at Highland Park High School devoted to helping less fortunate students further their musical education. This year, the club is focused its fundraising efforts on Chopin Elementary School. In the past, the club has helped orchestra students in Costa Rica, and in Highland Park. From raising money for lessons and instrument accessories to donating many instruments and books, Sister Symphonies has made an impact in many students’ lives. Highland Park High School is located at 433 Vine Ave.
