Terri Tiersky Named To Healthcare Foundation Of Highland Park Board Of Trustees

The Healthcare Foundation of Highland Park is
pleased to announce that Terri Tiersky has joined the organization’s Board of Trustees. Tiersky, a Highland Park resident, holds
degrees in dentistry and law, and was recently sworn in as vice president of
the Chicago Dental Society. She had the
overwhelming support of the current Board to become part of this all-volunteer non-profit
group that yearly, grants significant funds to improve the health and quality
of life of individuals in the geographic area served by Highland Park Hospital.
“We are delighted to have Terri join the Board,”
stated Jim Styer, Chairman of the Board of Trustees. “Terri is not a stranger to
philanthropy. For many years she has
dedicated herself to work with organizations that include the Chicago Dental
Society Foundation, Mission of Mercy, the Dental Lifeline Network, the Illinois
Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped, and the Holocaust Survivors Oral
Health Program, to name a few. She will
certainly be a strong asset to our Board and we are all looking forward to
working with her.”
The Healthcare Foundation of Highland Park is an
independent charitable organization that funds healthcare programs and services
in the geographic area served by NorthShore Highland Park Hospital, formerly
Highland Park Hospital. Established in
2000 to support the healthcare mission of the Hospital, The Healthcare
Foundation has granted more than $92 million dollars to community-based health
related programs and services in the vicinity of the hospital.

Each year, the Foundation grants $4.0 million to
offset the cost of uncompensated care and other clinical programs at NorthShore
Highland Park Hospital. Additionally, they also provide grants totaling more
than $2.5 million to more than 50 other charitable health and health-related
