Thieves Steal $21 From Hospital Patient: Highland Park Crime Blotter
The crime blotter covers incidents in Highland Park from Aug. 31 through Sept. 6.
HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The following is the most recent crime blotter from the Highland Park Police Department.
THEFT
- Personal items - Aug. 31 at 8:14 a.m.
- Police received a report of a theft at Highland Park Hospital at 777 Park Ave. W. A patient told police that somebody had taken many items from them, including $21 in cash.
- Theft - Sept. 1 at 1:18 p.m.
- A resident in the 800 block of Harvard Court reported a theft. Additional details are unknown.
BURGLARY

- Attempt - Sept. 3 at 8:09 a.m.
- A resident reported that somebody had attempted to get into several vehicles in the 1800 block of Eastwood Avenue. Three unlocked vehicles were impacted, but nothing was reported stolen.
- Residential - Sept. 3 at 6:10 p.m.
- A resident told police that an unknown burglar entered their garage and their unlocked vehicle that was inside. A purse was taken, they reported.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
- Property - Sept. 4 at 4:35 p.m.
- A resident reported that their landscaping lights were damaged. Police estimated the damage cost $260.

- Graffiti - Sept. 4 at 4:35 p.m.
- Police investigated a report of graffiti in a Highland Park High School bathroom.
