VILLAGE OF FOX LAKE ANNOUNCES PLANS FOR JULY 4TH CELEBRATIONS

The Village of Fox Lake is thrilled to announce plans for the 2015 Celebrate Fox Lake 4th of July festivities.

The Village of Fox Lake is thrilled to announce plans for the 2015 Celebrate Fox Lake 4th of July festivities. The day will kick off at 10am with the Fox Lake Area Chamber of Commerce and Industry Parade, followed by a day of Celebrating with family-friendly festivities at Lakefront Park (71 Nippersink Blvd.) from 11am-11pm. And for the first time in around 50 years, the famous fireworks display will return to Nippersink Lake, to be viewed by land and water. It will certainly be an Independence Day for the books!

Celebrate Fox Lake Parade – 10am - The Fox Lake Area Chamber of Commerce and Industry presents the Independence Day Parade lining the streets from Grant High School (285 East Grand Avenue), west down Grand Avenue, ending at the Town Center Plaza on Rollins Road. The parade will include floats from local organizations and businesses, antique cars, horses and more! The fee is just $5.00 to enter a float, and participants will have the chance to win Most Creative, Most Patriotic, or Best of Show. For information regarding the parade, please call 847-587-7474.

Celebrate Fox Lake at Lakefront Park Activities – 11am-11pm – Sponsored by the Village of Fox Lake, all are invited to Celebrate Fox Lake all day at the Lakefront Park Building (71 Nippersink Blvd.). All day activities include a Euro Bungy, rock wall, face painting, mechanical bull rides, a 70=foot obstacle course, games, crafter/vendor show and more until 8pm. Attendees can purchase an unlimited activity $10.00 wristband. The band Enough Said will be performing favorite rock and pop hits from the 1960’s to today from 7pm-9pm. There will also be food and a beer garden, throughout the day until the park closes at 11pm.

Fireworks at Dusk - To finish off the 4th, there will be a grand firework display on the Northwest corner of Nippersink Lake to be seen from land and water, presented by Chain-O-Lakes Fireworks. To donate to the Firework Fund, visit www.keepthesparkalive.com.

“Celebrate Fox Lake is proud to present this family friendly day filled with a one-of-a-kind parade and a day full of festival type entertainment,” says Amy Serafin, the Village of Fox Lake Parks and Recreation Coordinator. “We are thrilled to finally welcome back the Firework display to Nippersink Lake so it can be enjoyed by those on water and land!”
