Woman Kept Dog Outside for Hours: Police

Des Plaines man cited for selling tobacco to a minor.

BATTERY

Scott Browdy, of the 1000 block of Ridgewood Drive, Highland Park was arrested and charged with battery after police responded to a dispute in the 1000 block of Ridgewood Drive on February 19 at 2:29 p.m.

SALE OF TOBACCO TO MINOR

Piotr Nowakowski, 50, Des Plaines was cited administratively at 7:45 p.m. on February 20 for sale of tobacco to a minor after police investigated a complaint of three teens who had asked a taxi driver to purchase cigarettes for them on February 12.

POSSESSION OF FIREARM AMMUNITION WITHOUT A FOID CARD

Kelly Krueger, 42, of the 2800 block of Greenwood Avenue, was arrested and charged with possession of firearm ammunition with a FOID card after police responded to a report of a home invasion which turned out to be a misunderstanding between tenants in the 2800 block of Greenwood Avenue at 12:22 a.m. on February 22. Robert Estrada, 27, also of the 2800 block of Greenwood Avenue, Highland Park was cited administratively for possession of drug paraphernalia after police located a smoking pipe in the residence.

UNLAWFUL TREATMENT OF ANIMALS

Marie Gotta, 62, of the 500 block of Hill Street was cited administratively for unlawful treatment of animals after police responded to a report of a dog left tethered to a table barking and crying in 5 degree weather for several hours at 7:20 p.m. on February 21.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED

Dorian Mitchell, 40, Zion was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended, one headlight illuminated and uninsured motor vehicle after being stopped by police in the 3300 block of Skokie Valley Road at 12:42 a.m. on February 22.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE REVOKED

Deontae Riley, 19, Chicago was arrested and charged with driving while license revoked, no valid registration and uninsured motor vehicle after being stopped by police near Skokie Valley Road and Park Avenue West at 3:53 a.m. on February 22.
