Woman Turns Self In for Unlawful Credit Card Use, Cops Say

Heidi Avila, 30, of the 500 block of Onwentsia Avenue, was arrested and charged with unlawful use of a credit card after turning herself into police on March 3.

A warrant had been issued for Avila’s arrest stemming from a police investigation involving the theft of a wallet and fraudulent transactions made on stolen credit cards on Feb. 13, reports said.

Avila was released after posting a cash bond. She has a court appearance on March 19 at the Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan.
