$10K Worth Of Items Stolen From Hinsdale Boutique: Police Reports

Hinsdale Police reports through Oct. 23.

The following items were taken from the Hinsdale police blotter. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

DUI

  • Christopher Veley, 46, of Wind Lake, Wisconsin, was arrested at 11:54 p.m. Oct. 16 at Route 83 and Knoll Wood Road for DUI-alcohol and improper lane use.
  • James Woulfe, 23, of the 400 block of East Hickory Street, was arrested at 2:04 a.m. Oct. 19 at Madison and Sevent streets for DUI-alcohol, speeding and improper lane use.
  • Mark McClellan, 43, of Hodgkins, was arrested at 3:05 a.m. Oct. 21 at Madison and 55th streets for DUI-alcohol, improper lane use and operating an uninsured vehicle.

  • The victim was backing out of her parking space when someone hit the rear of her car and drove away in the 100 block of South Washington at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 16. The other driver was described a white male, 20-30 years old and driving an older blue car.

Retail theft

  • Store owner reported a wallet and purses had been stolen from Kelsey Resale Boutique, 49 S. Washington St. sometime between 12 p.m. Oct. 14 and 5 p.m. Oct. 15. When an inventory was completed, it was discovered that eight items worth a combined value of $10,058.59 were missing.
