11 Cars Broken Into In One Night: Hinsdale Blotter

Hinsdale Police reports through May 15.

The following items were taken from the Hinsdale police blotter. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Aggravated Speeding

  • Jaquan Wilins, 22, of Chicago, was arrested at 10:06 p.m. May 11 at Route 83 and 55th Street for speeding (102 mph in a 55 mph zone).

DUI

  • Jarrod Lichty, 28, of Downers Grove, was arrested at 1:07 a.m. May 12 at 55th Street and Holmes Avenue for DUI-alcohol, speeding and improper lane use.
  • Joaquin Lemus, 33, of Lyons, was arrested at 1:51 a.m. May 13 at 55th Street and Barton Lane for DUI-alcohol, speeding and no valid driver's license.

Residential Burglary

  • An unknown suspect entered a garage through a side door entrance in the 700 block of South Park Avenue sometime between 9:15 p.m. May 12 and 9:55 a.m. May 13. Cars were rummaged through and a pair of sunglasses worth $200 was stolen.

Burglary To Vehicle

  • 11 unlocked cars were broken into sometime between 2 p.m. May 12 and 11:20 a.m. May 13 in the 800 block of South Elm, 900 block of South Elm, 5500 block of South Elm, 5600 block of South Elm, 100 block of East Seventh, and the 0-100 block of Ulm Place. Items missing included: four pairs of sunglasses, two laptops, three wallets, an Apple iPad, tools, and loose change.

Theft

  • A bag of clothing left out for dry cleaners was stolen from the front door of a home in the 600 block of Chestnut Street sometime between 7:45 and 9 a.m. May 14. The items are valued between $800 and $1,000.
