$1K In Golf Clubs Stolen In Hinsdale Car Burglary: Cops
Another car was stolen, with a credit card inside used fraudulently, police said.

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale police released their later blotter. Most of the items involved car burglaries. Here is information from the reports:
Car burglaries
- Golf clubs valued at $1,000 and credit cards were stolen Oct. 11 from three cars in the 400 block of South Thurlow Street.
- Cars at a house in the 400 block of 58th Place were burglarized on Oct. 10 or Oct. 11. The cars were in the driveway and in the garage. A garage door opener, a backpack and clothing were stolen.
- Unlocked cars were burglarized between 5:30 p.m. Oct. 10 and 7:45 a.m. Oct. 11 in the 800 block of South Vine Street.
- Someone entered two unlocked cars in a driveway and rummaged through their interiors between 7:30 p.m. Oct. 10 and 8:30 a.m. Oct. 11 in the 400 block of West Second Street.
- Two unlocked cars were burglarized about 3:30 a.m. Oct. 11 in a driveway in the 400 block of West 58th Place. About $80 in cash was stolen from the center consoles.
- Someone entered a car between 4 a.m. and 10 a.m. Oct. 11 in the 10 block of South Monroe Street. The person rummaged through the interior, but stole nothing.
- Suspects were seen on surveillance video entering two unlocked cars about 4 a.m. Oct. 11 in a driveway in the 10 block of North Monroe Street. A gym bag and a garage door opener were stolen, but were later found in the 600 block of West Maple Street.

- A Volkswagen Atlas was stolen about 4:30 a.m. Oct. 11 in the 400 block of South Thurlow Street. It was parked on the street. A credit card inside the car was fraudulently used at a convenience store in Chicago. Riverdale police recovered the car in the 14000 block of South Stewart Street.
DUI
- Juan C. Mackan, 40, of Bolingbrook, was arrested about 2 a.m. Friday near Elm and 55th streets on charges of DUI, improper lane use and illegal flashing light. He refused to be tested for his blood-alcohol content. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
