2 Hinsdale DUI Suspects Arrested: Police
One suspect struck a pole, while the other caused a disturbance at a restaurant, police said.

HINSDALE, IL — Two Hinsdale residents were arrested on DUI charges in recent days, with one hitting a pole and the other causing a disturbance, police said. Here is information from the Hinsdale Police Department's latest blotter:
- Lauren Mackenzie Harpst, 24, of Hinsdale, was arrested about 12:30 a.m. Jan. 11 in the 5700 block of South Elm Street on charges of DUI and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Harpst struck a light pole on private property. She submitted to testing, which indicated she was above the legal blood-alcohol limit. She was released to appear in court.
- John L. Sullivan, 54, of Hinsdale, was arrested shortly before 8 p.m. Jan. 8 in the 10 block of East Eighth Street on charges of DUI and squealing or screeching tires. Police were called to Nabuki restaurant about an intoxicated person causing a disturbance. Officers saw Sullivan speed away, with his tires squealing as he was leaving the parking lot. He submitted to testing, which indicated he was over the legal blood-alcohol limit. He was released to appear in court.
- Yaritza Ortega Villa, 22, of Maywood, was arrested at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 7 at Ogden Avenue and Interstate 294 on charges of driving with a suspended license, improper lane use and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. The suspect was released to appear in court.
- Jonathan Ocotoxtle, 27, of North Aurora, was arrested shortly before 3 p.m. Jan. 7 in the 400 block of West Hinsdale Avenue on charges of driving with a suspended license and speeding. The suspected was released to appear in court.
- Joshua M. Virella, 32, of Hinsdale, was arrested about 8:30 p.m. Jan. 8 in the 700 block of West 55th Street on charges of driving with a suspended license, speeding and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He was released to appear in court.
- Rosetta Henry, 23, of Chicago, was arrested shortly after 9 p.m. Jan. 9 at Monroe and 55th streets on charges of no valid driver's license and speeding. The suspect was released to appear in court.
- Kevin K. Jakovec, 62, of Lyons, was arrested about 11:30 p.m. Jan. 9 in the 100 block of East Chicago Avenue on charges of driving with a suspended license, speeding and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He was released to appear in court.
- Cynthia L. Padilla, 30, of Chicago, was arrested shortly after 2 p.m. Jan. 12 at Ogden Avenue and York Road on charges of driving with a suspended license and speeding. She was released to appear in court.
- An unlocked car in the 600 block of North Lincoln Street was burglarized between 2 and 2:42 a.m. Jan. 13. Someone rummaged through the car's interior. Nothing was reported missing.
- Shortly before 3 a.m. Jan. 13, police saw three suspicious cars parked in the 300 block of North Grant Street. The drivers sped away from police. Officers returned to the area and found three unlocked cars in a victim's driveway burglarized. Loose change was stolen from the cars.
- Maurice M. Forest, 30, of Chicago, was arrested shortly before 3 a.m. Jan. 14 at Oak Street and The Lane on charges of driving with a suspended license and disobeying a stop sign. He was released to appear in court.
