2 Hinsdale Restaurants Burglarized: Cops

The break-ins occurred within minutes of each other, police said.

HINSDALE, IL – Two Hinsdale restaurants were broken into within minutes of each other last weekend, police said.

The first burglary occurred about 2:30 a.m. Saturday at Dunkin' Donuts, 150 E. Ogden Ave., with suspects entering the business and stealing trays from the cash registers, police said. The trays were later found on the south side of Chicago, police said.

About 15 minutes after the first break-in, officers responded to a burglar alarm at Starbucks, 500 E. Ogden Ave.

A glass entrance door was shattered, and cash drawers and a safe were open, police said. Employees reported nothing was missing.

Police said the suspects were described as youths, who drove a stolen car.

The burglaries are believed to be related to more than a dozen others in suburban Cook and DuPage counties over the weekend.
