2 Westmont Cops Crash Squad Cars: Police

WESTMONT, IL – A crash early Sunday morning involved two Westmont officers, the police department acknowledged Monday.

Based on a reader's tip, Patch asked the department about the incident.

In response, police said the crash was about 12:20 a.m. near Ogden Avenue and Oakwood Drive.

"Since this matter is still pending further investigation, no further information is being released at this time," Westmont detective David Newton said in an email to Patch.

The police did not give the circumstances of the crash or whether any injuries resulted.
