2019 Jaguar Stolen From Land Rover Lot: Cops
Reports of DUIs, a forgery and a fraud are among the latest reports from the Hinsdale Police Department.

Forgery
A fraudulent check in the amount of $3,541 was written on a Village of Hinsdale bank account at 7:45 a.m. on Feb. 5.

Fraud
A victim in the 1000 block of Chanticleer Lane received a phone scam from an unknown suspect claiming to be the victim's grandson at 8 a.m. on Feb. 5. The victim was instructed to send $12,000 for legal fees.

DUI
Jessica D. Marsh, 33, of Willowbrook was charged with DUI - alcohol, failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash and reckless driving at Route 83 and Burlington Avenue at 9:47 p.m. on Feb. 7. Police were dispatched to a report of a vehicle crash. Suspect was observed to be under the influence of alcohol. Suspect refused testing to determine BAC.
Daniel R. Barnett, 38, of Downers Grove was charged with DUI - alcohol, illegal transportation of alcohol, speeding and uninsured vehicle at 12:10 a.m. on Feb. 10 in the 200 block of East Ogden Avenue. Suspect was stopped for speeding. Suspect was observed to be under the influence of alcohol. Suspect submitted testing that indicated he was over the legal limit.
Adam T. Blankenship, 40, of Lockport was stopped at 55th Street and Route 83 at 8:59 p.m. on Feb. 11 and charged with DUI - alcohol and disobeying a police officer. Suspect was stopped for driving around a squad car that had closed the ramp due to a car crash. Suspect was observed to be under the influence of alcohol. Suspect submitted testing that indicated he was over the legal limit. Suspect was charged and released to appear in court.
Motor Vehicle Theft
The Land Rover car dealership at 300 E. Ogden Ave. reported a loaner vehicle, a 2019 Jaguar E-Pace, missing from their lot at 6:43 p.m. on Feb. 6.
