3 DUI Arrests In Hinsdale, 1 Involving Crash: Cops

In another case, a woman visiting a nursing home reported a theft of money.

DUIs

  • Ruddy Hernandez Vargas, 55, of Buffalo Grove, was arrested at midnight Friday in the 800 block of Route 83 on charges of DUI and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Police said the crash only involved Vargas' car. He submitted to testing that indicated he was over the legal limit. He was released and given a date to appear in court.

  • Markeet D. Hardiman, 32, of Chicago, was arrested about 4 a.m. Saturday at Route 83 and Chicago Avenue on charges of DUI, failure to signal when changing lanes and improper lane use. He submitted to testing that indicated he was over the legal limit. He was released and given a date to appear in court.

Theft

  • Someone stole money from a purse of a woman visiting a resident between 2:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. July 27 at The Pearl of Hinsdale nursing home, 600 W. Ogden Ave. The theft was reported nine days later.

  • A resident in the 900 block of South Bruner Street told police Friday that someone used the resident's rewards miles to purchase an airfare valued at $1,343.
