3 DUI Arrests in Hinsdale: Police

All the suspects agreed to testing, which showed they were over the limit, police said.

HINSDALE, IL — Hinsdale police have made three DUI arrests in recent days, according to the latest reports. All three suspects submitted to testing, which indicated they were over the legal limit, police said. Often, drivers refuse testing. All three were released and given dates to appear in court.

Here is information from the police reports:

  • Tyson Shanequa Shantell, 19, of Naperville, was arrested about 2 a.m. May 24 at Route 83 and 55th Street on charges of DUI, improper lane usage, and improper approaching or passing of an emergency vehicle. The suspect was stopped after failure to change lanes away from a stopped emergency vehicle with its emergency lights on.
  • Cecilia Montoya, 31, of Leland, was arrested about 1 a.m. May 23 in the 500 block of West 55th Street on charges of DUI and improper lane use.
  • Kevin M. Handler, 28, of Chicago, was arrested shortly after 10 a.m. May 22 at Shell gas station, 210 E. Ogden Ave., on a charge of DUI. A police officer saw Handler at the gas pumps and believed the suspect was under the influence of alcohol, according to a police report.
