3 Stolen Cars Seen At Once: Hinsdale

Hinsdale police say they stopped the pursuit after speeds became unsafe. Car burglaries reported on five streets.

HINSDALE, IL — Hinsdale police encountered not one, but three, stolen cars on Ogden Avenue at Madison Street before dawn Tuesday, according to a news release. The department released a photo on Facebook of the three cars.

Officers attempted to stop the stolen cars, but discontinued the pursuit on Interstate 294 near 75th Street once speeds became unsafe, the release said. One of the suspects exited a moving car during the encounter and jumped into one of the others. The stolen Jeep left abandoned on the highway was recovered shortly after. The Jeep was stolen from Clarendon Hills. The other two stolen cars were a Mercedes from Lake Forest and a Dodge from Countryside, police said.

  • 300 block of North Garfield
  • 400 block of West North

All the cars were unlocked and parked in driveways. Hinsdale police urge residents to lock their cars and remove their key fobs.
