6 Suspects In Hinsdale Purse Thefts: Cops

The group broke into two cars at a local park and stole purses, police said.

HINSDALE, IL – Three women and three men are under suspicion for breaking into two cars June 10 at Katherine Legge Memorial Park, Hinsdale police said Friday.

The suspects then stole purses from the cars, police said in a statement.

On June 20, Hinsdale detectives began surveillance on the group, eventually taking them all into custody, police said.

According to the statement, investigators from Hinsdale and other parts of Illinois and Wisconsin continue to investigate the suspects for burglary, forgery, identity theft and continuation of a financial crimes enterprise.

Police said they won't release the suspects' names until charges are formally filed.
