'Adopt-a-Resident' From the DuPage Convalescent Center for the Holidays
Gift requests often include personal care products, clothing and gift cards.

The DuPage Convalescent Center is hosting its annual gift drive for its residents, and participants are needed to spread the holiday spirit.
Gifts usually average a $50 value, according to a DuPage Convalescent Center news release, and they often include requests for things like personal care products, clothes and gift cards.

Donations should be brought to the center’s reception desk between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. daily by Dec. 15 so they can be collected and organized for the Annual Family Holiday party, according to the news release.
Donations can also be made at dupageco.org/dpccfoundation or through checks made payable to the DuPage Convalescent Center Foundation and mailed to 400 N. County Farm Rd., Wheaton, Illinois 60187.

For more information about how to adopt a resident for the holidays can call the Volunteer Office at (630) 784-4260.
“Volunteers are also sought to donate to the general wish list; contribute to the holiday fund; create handmade holiday cards or crafts for the residents; sing holiday carols with a community group; or volunteer to support one of the holiday events,” according to the news release.
