Adoptable Pet Of The Week: Amelia

HINSDALE, IL — For those looking to adopt a pet, a great place to look for your new family member is at Hinsdale Humane Society. This week's 'Adoptable Pet' is Amelia, who is available for adoption at the humane society.

Amelia is 58 pounds and 1 and a half years old. The society said she is a Pit Bull Terrier mix who loves attention and affection. She can be playful and fun, but also loves to take an afternoon nap in the sun.

Amelia's adoption fee is $150 and she is recommended for families with children 10 years of age or older.

The Hinsdale Humane Society is located at 22 N. Elm St., in Hinsdale. The society is open from 2 to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays; 12 to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Friday; and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. It is closed on Mondays.
