Adoptable Pet Of The Week: Summer

HINSDALE, IL — For those looking to adopt a pet, a great place to look for your new family member is at Hinsdale Humane Society. This week's 'Adoptable Pet' is Summer the Whippet mix, who is available for adoption at the humane society.

Summer is a 3-year-old, female Whippet mix who weights about 16 pounds. The society said Summer was first in an overcrowded animal control facility, but now is with the humane society.

She is a very sweet girl, the society said, who just needs a little time to warm up before showering her new family with love.

The Hinsdale Humane Society is located at 22 N. Elm St., in Hinsdale. The society is open from 2 to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays; 12 to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Friday; and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. It is closed on Mondays.
