Adventist Hinsdale Hospital Welcomes First Baby Of 2018
Matthew Manuel Morfin, was born to Ivette Solis and Angel Morfin of Berwyn at 6:43 a.m., Monday, Jan. 1, 2018.

HINSDALE, IL – AMITA Health Adventist Medical Center Hinsdale welcomed the first baby of 2018 on New Year’s Day. According to the hospital, a boy, Matthew Manuel Morfin, was born to Ivette Solis and Angel Morfin of Berwyn at 6:43 a.m., Monday, Jan. 1, 2018.
The hospital said Matthew weighed 6 pounds, 2 ounces and was 19 ¼ inches long. This is the first child for Ivette, who was due two weeks later, on Jan. 17 and had a Cesarean section already scheduled for Jan. 10.
“We were dancing the night away at a New Year’s family party when I went into labor,” she said in a release. “He did not want to wait.”

She and Angel are very thankful for a healthy baby. Angel has three other children – Angel Jr., 21, Cynthia, 19, and Vanessa, 17.
