Aggravated battery

  • A person fought with hospital security about 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Hinsdale hospital, 120 N. Oak St. Listed as an aggravated battery, the case is pending.

Theft

  • A resident in the 800 block of North Washington Street told police that a prescription medication was stolen from her bag between Feb. 18 and Feb. 21.
  • Someone stole a chair valued at $80 from a backyard between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Friday in the 600 block of South County Line Road. The theft was reported Saturday.

Harassment

  • A resident in the 500 block of Bonnie Brae Road told police that someone sent threatening text messages Feb. 19.

Fraud

  • Someone sent an email with malware and gained access to the online bank accounts of a resident in the 10 block of South Park Avenue. The activity took place between Feb. 16 and Feb. 18.

Obstructing identification

  • A 36-year-old Blue Island woman was arrested about 8:30 a.m. Sunday near Route 83 and 55th Street on charges of obstructing identification, transportation of open alcohol by a driver, driving with a suspended license, driving an uninsured car, and illegal stopping where prohibited. Police found the woman parked on the side of Route 83 asleep at the wheel. She had two open containers of alcohol. She had two arrest warrants in Vermillion County. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
