CLARENDON HILLS, IL – Several pets died in a house fire Wednesday afternoon in unincorporated Clarendon Hills, according to a fire district.
Shortly before 2 p.m., the Tri-State Fire District responded to a fire at 5516 Tennessee Ave., just a few homes south of the Clarendon Hills boundary, according to a news release.
Flames were seen from the front windows of the house, along with heavy smoke, the release said.
The people in the house were able to get out, authorities said. No one was reported injured.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, the fire district said.
