WESTMONT, IL – A developer plans to build a 119-unit apartment complex in downtown Westmont.
The five-story building at 1 N. Cass Ave. would include a restaurant, 120 indoor parking spaces and a 45-space surface lot.
It would also feature a pet spa, a fitness center, a clubhouse and an outdoor amenity deck.
The developer is Portage, Indiana-based Holladay Properties.
The development, called Sentinel Station, would be northeast of Cass and Burlington avenues, near the Metra train station.
The development is labeled as "transit-oriented" because of its focus on train commuters.
The space is currently a village parking lot.
The complex would be across the railroad tracks from another five-story apartment building, called Quincy Station, which Holladay developed. The structure's ground floor includes Whiskey Hill Brewery & Kitchen.
The developer plans a community meeting from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. June 17 in the gym at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 111 S. Cass Ave.
A zoning hearing is set for July 8.
