Hundreds Without Power In Hinsdale: ComEd

The village pointed out where storm damage occurred. Several public buildings flooded.

HINSDALE, IL – About 700 Hinsdale homes remained without power as of early Tuesday afternoon, according to ComEd's outage map.

This is the result of storms on Monday.

Based on the history of similarly sized storms, ComEd said it expected 80 percent of the outages to end by noon Wednesday and the vast majority by Friday night.

The village government listed other impacts of the storm, which brought intense rainfall, high winds and hail:

On Monday night, nine spots in the village had downed utility wires.

On Tuesday, the village deployed two woodchippers to run simultaneously to deal with downed trees – one serving the north side, the other on the south side.
