After residents collected signatures and met with officials, a temporary crosswalk was installed, and trustees have now hired a traffic engineering firm to study school-area traffic and apply safety lessons across Hinsdale.

• Hinsdale Man Kisses Someone Without Consent: Police (fiorreports.com) — A Hinsdale resident has been charged with battery after allegedly kissing someone without consent at a Westmont business over the weekend, according to police. The 57-year-old man, who lives on South Thurlow Street in Hinsdale, was released on his own recognizance while authorities process the case.
