Alcohol Returning To 'Crowded' Hinsdale Restaurant

The new owners plan to add dinner service.

| Updated

HINSDALE, IL – Toni's Patisserie & Cafe in downtown Hinsdale recently changed ownership, and its new owners are seeking a liquor license.

Liquor licenses are not transferable from one owner to another, so the restaurant is temporarily without one.

Toni's, which is at 51 S. Washington St., previously had a beer and wine license. New owners Craig Zoberis, Tom Wake and Mark Konieczka are seeking a village liquor license that would include spirits.

They do not intend to serve alcohol during early breakfast hours, according to a village memo.

The restaurant is planning to add dinner service, the village said.

At Tuesday's Village Board meeting, Trustee Michelle Fisher complimented the restaurant.

"We walk by with our dog, Buster, and our kids. Always crowded. People are smiling," she said. "They're outside enjoying a glass of wine. It's fantastic."
