Armed Robber Steals Cash from Speedway Early Wednesday: Police

Darien police are searching for an armed man they believe stole cash from Speedway at 8301 Lemont Road early Wednesday morning.

Police describe the man as in his 20s, last seen wearing a black shirt, black shorts, a black hat, a bandana and black shoes, according to Darien police.

He showed a gun and took an undisclosed amount of cash around 3:33 a.m. before running from the Speedway. No one was injured.

The Darien Police Detectives are investigating this incident and ask anyone with information to contact the detectives at 630-353-8326. Anyone who notices anything suspicious should call 911.
