Battery, Car Burglaries: Hinsdale Police Reports

Hinsdale Police reports through Nov. 13.

The following items were taken from the Hinsdale police blotter. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Battery

  • Savanna Latrice Lester, 29, of Chicago Heights, was arrested at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 3 at Hinsdale Hospital, 120 N. Oak St., for fighting and disorderly conduct.

Burglary to vehicle

  • An unlocked vehicle in the 0-100 block of South Quincy was entered and a cell phone, laptop and computer bag were stolen sometime between 6 p.m. Nov. 2 and 4 a.m. Nov. 5.
  • A chainsaw, concrete saw and backpack blower were stolen from an unlocked landscaping trialer sometime between 12:30 and 4 p.m. Nov. 6 in the 600 block of South Lincoln. Loss is $3,000.
  • A backpack and wallet were stolen out of an unlocked car in the 300 block of West 57th Street sometime between 9:30 p.m. Nov. 6 and 8 a.m. Nov. 7.
  • A bank statement, insurance car, spare key and a key ring were stolen from an unlocked car in the 600 block of Chestnut sometime between 9:30 p.m. Nov. 7 and 7 a.m. Nov. 8.

Theft

  • A laptop was stolen from the victim's work station at 3 p.m. Nov. 9 in the 500 block of West Ogden. Loss is $300.
  • Two iPads were stolen from Monroe School, 210 N. Madison St. sometime between June 1 and Nov. 12. The iPads are valued at $286.35 each.
