We're having a heat wave, and the coolest place in town is the Clarendon Hills Park District's Lions Park Pool! The aquatics center, located at 100 Byrd Court, will be open for recreational swimming between 11:30 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13, Wednesday, June 14, and Friday, June 16. On Thursday, June 15, the Lions Park complex will close at 5 p.m. due to a home swim meet. Season pass holders can use the Hinsdale Community Pool after 5 p.m. on June 15. Daily admission rates are $8.00 for residents of Clarendon Hills and $12.00 for residents of neighboring communities. These fees are in effect for pool guests ages 3-59. Senior citizen rates (ages 60 and better) are $5.00 per person. If you're hard at work during the current heat wave, please keep in mind that twilight swim hours are available after 5 p.m. daily. These rates are $6.00 per person for residents of Clarendon Hills and $7.00 per person for residents of other areas. Senior citizens ages 60 and better can enjoy the pool after 5 p.m. at a cost of $4.00 per person.
