Steve Darnall, host of Those Were the Days visit CH Library

Take a trip back in time to the Golden Age of Radio.

On Monday, March 14th at 7 pm, the Clarendon Hills Library welcomes Steve Darnall host of WDCG Radio’s Those Were the Days and publisher of Nostalgia Digest, to discuss some of the biggest shows and stars to emerge from the early years of radio, including Jack Benny, Bob Hope, Amos & Andy, and The Shadow.

Through sound clips and stories the audience will learn how radio became America’s first mass medium, transforming the United States of America from 48 states (in those days) into a national listening community.
