
The following items were taken from the Hinsdale police blotter. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
Fraud
- The victim was approached by an unknown suspect outside of Chase Bank, 400 E. Ogden Ave., at 4:41 p.m. June 6. The suspect offered to write the victim checks in exchange for cash, and the victim withdrew $2,160 from the ATM. The victim deposited checks from the suspect into her account, and the checks were fraudulent. The suspect was described as a black male, 6 feet tall and 180 pounds. He was wearing sunglasses, a white shirt and tan pants.
Residential Burglary

- A bike was reported missing from an attached garage in the 200 block of Fuller Road sometime between 12 and 3 p.m. June 5. The garage door was open during the time frame the bike went missing.
Vandalism
- A sign was spray painted with graffiti at Highlands Train Station on June 7.
Theft

- Victim set his laptop on top of his car while it was parked in his driveway in the 500 block of North Vine, and it was gone when he returned. This happened sometime between 8 and 11 a.m. May 30. The laptop is valued at $1,599.
DUI
- Peter Cavoto, 24, was arrested at 3:08 a.m. June 10 at Ogden and I-294 for DUI-alcohol and speeding.
- Timothy Mayerhofer, 49, of the 0-100 block of South Bruner Street, was arrested at 1:31 a.m. June 7 for DUI-alcohol, improper lane use and failure to signal.
