I have been getting Birchbox every month for the past 3 years now and I still get excited when I see that special little package in my mailbox. I have turned many of my relatives and friends on to this subscription service and I’m sure after seeing these amazing products, you might be interested too. For all you newbies to Birchbox, it is a subscription service that sends you an array of samples for $10 a month. Before you even start the process with them, you fill out a profile so they send samples that coincide with what you are looking for in beauty. This is a wonderful way to find unique beauty products that you normally haven’t been exposed to. I have found many products that I use daily now in my beauty routine. Here are my favorites and a peek at my most recent box .
12 Benefits Instant Healthy Hair Treatment – This product has done wonders for my color-treated, damaged hair. I do a lot of blow drying and curling and this spray-on treatment really keeps my hair protected. It’s clean scent is heavenly and I need to use less conditioner in the shower because it helps detangle hair too. On Birchbox’s website, they describe how this product works. “A potent combination of natural lipids and UV absorbers work together to reverse the damage caused by hair dyes, heat styling, and environmental aggressors.” It worked for me!
the Balm cosmetics Hot Mama Shadow & Blush All-in-One - This peachy -pink blush which can be also used as a shadow is something I love to use to give my face a glow that’s not too over-the-top. I love the subtle gold shimmer that it leaves behind on the skin. Besides giving your face healthy color, it can also be used to contour. I promise your skin will look fresh and not streaky with this product. Who doesn’t want to be a Hot Mama!

Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant – This product has changed my skin in an remarkable way. Since turning 40, my skin has gone through many changes. My skin was extremely dry at first and then it changed to combination skin with my nose and chin getting more oily with breakouts. I never really had problems with breakouts before so I was perplexed. When I started using this product, my breakouts were happening less and less and my skin got so much smoother. I get facials every 3-4 months and even my aesthetician asked me what I was using because she saw such a difference in my skin tone. When I heard her gush about how great my skin looked, I was sold. The BHA’s are what help fight blemishes but also they boost collagen production. Something all 40+ women like myself could use. I highly recommend this skincare product and if you are don’t have skin like mine, check out their other products here. They have products that work with every skintype.
On to my Birchbox surprise for May. I am excited to try these new products. Here’s the list of what I got and maybe one of these will end up being a life-long fave.
