Birches Assisted Living Hosts Antique Appraisal Event
The Birches Assisted Living is hosting an antique appraisal event and classic car show on June 20 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.
Have a family heirloom you’re sure is something special? Or a garage sale gem that could be a goldmine?
If you want to learn more about the history and value of your vintage treasures, now’s your chance. On June 20 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, the Birches Assisted Living in Clarendon Hills is hosting “What’s It Worth?”— our own version of that popular PBS auction show.
Professional auctioneer and antique appraiser John Leonard will join us during our annual Classic Car Show to share his opinion on whether that old item lying around your house is a priceless antique or a worthless tchotchke.

Leonard has been appraising and selling antiques since college. He opened his first auction house in 2006, and has run Leonard Auction, Inc. in Addison since 2007. Members of the Clarendon Hills Historical Society will also be there to share their insight on any old-fashioned treasure you bring.
After you get your antique appraised, you can join us for our classic car show and admire the chrome-covered cars of yesteryear.

“If you love history, want to learn more about your antiques or just want to take a trip down memory lane, this event is for you,” said Birches’ Executive Director Jackie Sander. “Our classic car show always brings residents and guests back in time. But now that John Leonard’s joining us to appraise antiques, there will be even more memories to share.”
The Birches Assisted Living’s “What’s It Worth?” and Classic Car Show event will take place on June 20 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm in The Birches’ parking lot, located at 215 55th St, Clarendon Hills, IL 60514. The event is free and open to the public. No RSVP is required. Hope to see you there!
