School Closings, Power Outages In Hinsdale, Clarendon Hills

Hinsdale, Clarendon Hills schools will be closed on Monday, Nov. 26.

HINSDALE-CLARENDON HILLS, IL — Due to the blizzard warning and predicted hazardous travel on Monday morning, several schools in the area will be closed on Monday, Nov. 26.

As of 12 p.m., 713 customers are without power in Hinsdale, according to the ComEd power outage map.

The village of Clarendon Hills said regularly scheduled garbage pickup by Republic Services will be moved from Tuesday, Nov. 27 to Wednesday, Nov. 28. Garbage cans should be placed at the end of your driveway, not on the street or concrete ribbons. This removes obstructions from the street and allows for easier plowing.

The village of Hinsdale said Republic Services has cancelled refuse and recycling collection on Monday, Nov. 26 due to the weather. All collections this week will be delayed by one day. Monday collections will occur on Tuesday and Thursday collections on Friday.

The Hinsdale Public Library will be opening late at 12 p.m. on Monday.
