Brass Knuckles, Hit-And-Run Crash: Hinsdale Cops

A man is charged with unlawful use of a weapon, police said.

HINSDALE, IL — Hinsdale police released their latest blotter Wednesday. Here is information from the reports:

Brass knuckles

  • Manuel Rural Hernandez, 27, of Mount Prospect, was arrested about 10 p.m. Monday at Route 83 and 55th Street on charges of unlawful use of a weapon and speeding. He was stopped for speeding, but was found to have brass knuckles. He was released and given a date to appear in court.

  • A work truck was hit between 7:30 p.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Monday in the parking lot at 15 Spinning Wheel Road. It was labeled a hit-and-run.

Identity theft

  • A resident in the 200 block of South Clay Street told police Friday that someone opened a bank account using the resident's information.

  • Robert C. Scriba, 19, of Western Springs, was cited about 8 p.m. Monday in the 200 block of West Ogden Avenue on charges of driving with a suspended license, unlawful possession of marijuana by a driver, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and improper lighting. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Ismael Rivera, 23, of Northlake, was cited about 8 p.m. Feb. 23 at Route 83 and 55th Street on charges of driving with a revoked license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and speeding. He was also arrested on a Cook County warrant. He posted bond and was released to appear in court.
