Broad-Daylight Hinsdale Car Burglaries Reported

Car windows were broken and valuables stolen at a local park, police said.

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale police released their latest blotter Tuesday. Here is information from the reports:

Car burglaries

  • Someone broke the windows of two cars between 11:30 a.m. and noon Wednesday at Katherine Legge Memorial Park, 5905 S. County Line Road. A purse and laptop were stolen from the cars. The person is also believed to have rummaged through the interior of a third car, which was unlocked. The case is pending.

  • A 2020 Kia Soul was stolen between 3 p.m. Thursday and 11 a.m. Friday at Hinsdale Apartment Homes, 315 W. 59th St. The car was found by Bellwood police Sunday. The case is pending.

Forgery

  • Someone forged a business check from SB Yen Management Group, 806 N. York Road, between Aug. 25 and Aug. 28. It was deposited electronically.

Warrant

  • A 26-year-old man from Bolingbrook was arrested about 9:30 p.m. Sunday on a DuPage County Sheriff's Office warrant. He was stopped for speeding. He was taken to the sheriff's office.
