Burglar Runs When He Discovers Hinsdale Home Occupied: Cops
Attempted burglary happened in 400 block of Quincy Avenue
HINSDALE, IL — Hinsdale police are investigating an attempted residential burglary that occurred at 11:20 a.m. in the 400 block of South Quincy, the police department said in a posting on Facebook. The suspect fled the area when he realized the home was occupied, police said.
The suspect was described as a white man in his early twenties. He drove a 2001 to 2007 Silver Dodge Grand Caravan.
In other activity, two cars were stolen out of driveways this weekend in Hinsdale. One occurred about 4 a.m. Saturday in the 500 block of The Lane, while the second occurred at some point during the weekend in the 700 block of The Woodlands, police said. In both cases the vehicles were left unlocked with the key fobs inside, police said. The Hinsdale Police Department urges residents to lock their doors and never leave keys in a vehicle.
