Burr Ridge Teenager Charged in Naperville Standoff
A Naperville teen got into an altercation with a woman and pointed a gun at her head while a Burr Ridge teen threatened to do the same.

Two men who were involved in a standoff during the morning of July 14 have been charged, according to a release from the Naperville Police Department.
At around 2 a.m., the Naperville Police Department responded to the 900 Block of Sheridan Circle for a report of a man pointing a handgun at another person.

Upon arrival, officers learned that Reece A Swedowski, 18, of Naperville, got into a verbal altercation with a woman and pointed a handgun at her head, while Zachary Q. Kolar, 19, of Burr Ridge, threatened to pull out another gun and point it at her, police reported.
The two men ran away before police arrived. At about 5 a.m., officers found the men at Swedowski’s apartment on the 2100 block of Allegre Circle.

Swedowski and Kolar refused to come to the door or come out of the apartment. The area was secured and the Naperville Police Special Response Team and Police Department Negotiators responded to the scene.
At 8 a.m., after negotiations, both men surrendered themselves and were arrested without further incident.
The apartment and the area around the apartment were searched and a BB replica handgun was recovered from inside the apartment building and was identified as the weapon used in the incident. No other weapons were recovered and there were no reports of injuries.
Swedowski was charged with one count of aggravated assault, class A misdemeanor and Kolar was charged with one count of disorderly conduct, Class C misdemeanor, according to police. Both have been released on bond.
