Businesses Reopen Post-Blizzard

Stock up on groceries at these area stores.

Now that Hinsdale and Clarendon Hills residents are starting to shovel out, it's time to re-stock on groceries and other essentials. Here's a list of area stores that are open for business:

1. , 16 Grant Square, Hinsdale

For all those eager to grocery shop without facing the pre-blizzard crowds, Kramer's is open for business all day today. Their weekday hours are 8am - 8pm, and on Saturday they're open until 6pm.

2. , 15 Grant Square, Hinsdale

As one of their pharmacy employees says, Walgreens will be open "as long as [they] have electricity," so now is the perfect time to fill your prescriptions. Walgreens will be open until 9pm tonight.

3. , 303 Holmes, Clarendon Hills

For our Clarendon Hills readers, Jewel is a convenient place to refill on groceries and other household essentials. The store is open until midnight, and will open up as usual at 5am tomorrow for early birds.

4. , 26 West First, Hinsdale

Picking up some fresh produce for dinner will be a nice change during these cold winter nights. The Fruit Store will be open today until 6pm tonight and every weeknight, and from 8:30am until 5:30pm on Saturdays.

5. Mobil Gas Station, 8 West Chicago, Hinsdale

Now that cars have been shoveled out of driveways, it's time to refuel. The Mobil gas station was one of the few area businesses that was open yesterday, and it is open 24 hours a day.
